Formed in 1998. Locoweed started out as a trio with Lars Krantz on vocals and guitar, Trygve Grindsäter on bass and Henrik Ulander on drums. A year later Rikard Spålséus joined on lead guitar. Their music was a continuation of what started out in Fetish and now had matured into a heavy and smoothly working act. Their influences ranged from Johnny Cash to Metallica, passing by the Velvet Underground, the Stooges, Neil Young, Nick Cave, the Doors, the Ramones and Jimi Hendrix.
